Basics
Name: Séverin
Date of Birth: 1760-ish
Place of Birth: Paris, France
Gender: Male
Species/Racial Origin: French vampire
Language: French and English
Family/Friends/Pets/Etc: Oddly, he really cares about people who died when he was human, and his first kills as a vampire, so he does feel for his deceased family members. I still have to decide family members, but I know they were killed in the French Revolution.
Physical Description
Height: 5'8"
Hair: Black as his soul
Eyes: Very dark red, almost black unless he's bloodthirsty
Limb Dexterity: Right-handed
Typical Clothing/Equipment: Prefers wearing a cravat to a tie. He believes that ties are symbolic nooses that society forces us to wear around our necks. The death of individuality. Likes wearing a vest. Carries a pocket watch and a dagger.
Personality/Attributes
Personality/Attitude: He is the most serious grouchy man ever, yet he’s not very temperamental. He’s actually very calm. I prefer calm and thoughtful evil characters better. He’s very deliberate and therefore far worse than other characters when he is cruel. Séverin has old style opinions and behavior. Séverin believes in gender roles and whatnot, since Séverin has a hard time adjusting to modern beliefs in general. It makes sense to me that characters from different places and times would have different beliefs, so I intend to show it. Séverin was born in about 1760 so he has a lot of influence from the Enlightenment era and the Romanticism movement. He of course really enjoys things like philosophy and writing. He became a vampire around the time of the French Revolution, which gave plenty of opportunities to both utilize immortality and be able to drink lots of blood.
Skills/Talents: Good at playing piano and violin. Skilled in debate, and at chess.
Favourites/Likes: Sunsets, smell after rain, cologne, nice clothing, anything that helps his vanity.
Most Hated/Dislikes: When the rain ruins his hair, when prey tear his clothing, when the police ask too many questions, when feeding is messy, people who forget to shut doors, people who ask impertinent questions.
Goals/Ambitions: He kind of lives his life without a goal. His goal is to not die, I suppose.
Strengths: Clever, physically strong, regenerates quickly.
Weaknesses: Typical vampire stuff (more along the lines of Dracula). Sunlight does not harm him, but daytime strips him of his power.
Fears: Nothing, so long as it won't kill him. Also fears being discovered as a vampire as it forces him into hiding until history can once again forget him.
Philosophy of Life: The hawk eats the mouse, and that's just the way it is.
Attitude Toward Death: If he can avoid it, why wouldn't he? He always feared death, and now that he's threatened with eternal damnation, he fears it even more.
Religion/Beliefs: Skeptical of religion, more of an atheist
Fetishes/Strange Behaviors: Very superstitious, even if not really afraid. It's more of an unshakeable habit from who he used to be. The type of person who throws a pinch of salt over their shoulder if they spill the container.
Occupation: Born into wealth, so he never really worked much
